Longtime fan Ryan got to go backstage at Dolly’s Milwaukee concert and introduce his son, Cole, to Miss Dolly. He says young Cole asked her if Jolene was really “an ole red-headed hussy!” Dolly squealed in shock that such a question would come out of a child’s mouth. She said that she reckoned that Jolene was. Then Cole asked her what a “hussy” is. She screamed another squealing laugh and told him, “Well, I suppose that a hussy is a woman that is tryin’ to steal another woman’s man.”

Cole then asked if she would sing the “Drag Queen” song for him, and she said she would. He also asked that she sign his little guitar “Jolene Drag Queen,“ and she did. Ryan himself got his “Dolly’s Dream” poster autographed with her quote “If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”

During the concert, once she finished the regular version of "Jolene," she told the audience about this little boy she had met before the show who loves drag queens and asked for the drag queen song, so she offered an entire chorus of "Jolene" with the substitute "drag queen" lyrics.
