DOLLY PARTON TO MAKE A RARE ALBUM SIGNING APPEARANCE
Superstar Scheduled To Meet The Fans At WAL-MART In Franklin, Tenn.
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 27 - Dolly Parton will make a personal appearance on Thursday, Nov. 4 from 5:30-7 p.m. at WAL-MART in Franklin to meet with fans and sign copies of her new album, The Grass Is Blue, just released on the Sugar Hill label. The WAL-MART store is
located at 350 Williamson Square in Franklin, Tenn.
In addition to meeting with fans, Parton will do a small press conference at the store at 4:30 p.m. Also on that day, she will be participating in a satellite media tour for television at 10 a.m. CST. Released on Tuesday, Oct. 26, The Grass Is Blue is Parton's first bluegrass album and features the finest musicians in the genre and some notable guest vocalists including Alison Krauss, Patty Loveless, Claire Lynch and Rhonda Vincent. The album is meeting with unanimous critical acclaim, some asserting, "this is Dolly's finest work yet." Parton will perform "Train, Train" from the album on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Nov. 2. On Nov.1, the Lifetime Network will air Blue Valley Songbird, an original movie produced by and starring Parton and based on a song of the same name that she penned for her last album.
Parton was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sept. 22. Known worldwide for her work in music, film and television, Parton is not only respected for her vocal and acting gifts, but also as "one of the most prolific and incisive country songwriters ever."
